Hi M,

Hope your day went well. This afternoon your grandpa and Hemi went for a walk. (As we often do.) Hemi usually walks ahead. (Yep … follows his nose.) Today he started running. (Very fast running.) Down the path. Then in a larger circle. “Get out of his way” running. Ran by me once. Twice. A third time. Then silence. About five minutes of silence. Where was he? Looking up, saw him coming the other way down the path. (Again.) Covered with burrs … (wait until you see those) … wet … and covered with mud. Don’t know what he was chasing. Must have been something on his level. (Not a bird or a squirrel. That air and tree stuff.) And … he sure seemed to have fun what ever it was. (It was fun to see.)

M, came across these words earlier today. “One generation will commend Your works to another; they will tell of Your mighty acts. They will speak of the glorious splendor of Your majesty and I will meditate on Your wonderful works. They will tell of Your awesome works and I will proclaim Your great deeds. They will celebrate Your abundant goodness and sing joyfully of Your righteousness.” – Ps145:4-7 (from the 29th day of Ps.)

M, it is good for my generation to tell about the wonderful works of God to your generation. That is one of the reasons your grandpa writes to you. It good to celebrate your “good growing” days, but also to tell you about the good things God has done. (Like make fuzzy caterpillars, leaves, walnuts and creatures like Hemi … and the ones he was chasing.)

Love you little one,
