Hi M,

Beautiful day! Your grandpa mentioned a festive day is coming up that has an extra day of the weekend with it. People not only celebrate the bravery of many people, but enjoy a great day with people they love. (People like you.) Happy Memorial Day weekend.

Sleep, naps, a cuddle, a snooze. These are times you are at rest. Smiling, giggle, trying out your lungs, rolling around, these are good times also, but being at rest, relaxing, content it is often called are great times. What about these words? “Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.” Cool to see that content look on your face.

Love you little one,

Hi M,

We are coming up on Memorial Day. Memorial Day weekend! We have a little race here in Indiana! Cars that go very fast. (Yes … they are buckled in their car seats.) Remember your grandpa mentioning we are festive people. Memorial Day is another one of those days. We just pause and remember incredibly brave people that make where you were born unique.

“His children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.” Your grandpa loves those words. It helps encourage me to be good. That way your dad and your aunt will be influential around town. (Both own their own businesses and their work will flourish.) My generation will be blessed. Your parents generation will be blessed. And you know what? You and your generation (those born close to the time you were born) will be blessed. Good stuff will happen around you and your parents. How cool is that?

Hi M,

Full day. How about yours? Pick out some great clothes to wear? You know for the rest of your days you will always feel good in great clothes. Not toooo tight. Not toooo loose. Just the right style. Those words will serve you well for a long time.

“Good things and wonderful deeds.” My prayer for you today is that you grow to do “good things” and do “wonderful deeds.” What a great way to go through life!

Hi M,

Did you have a good day? Learn new stuff? Got that rolling thing down now? Mobile! How fun! Your grandpa is mobile now. Got my car seat back. How fun is that? Took a couple of pictures today. Saw a great picture your aunt took today. (Attached) Cleaned the kitchen today. (Yep.) Wait until you learn about cleaning up stuff. (Yep.)

M, when you get a little older those sounds you make will turn into words. (Like big people use.) One day those words will become songs. Music and songs are wonderful. You’ll sing a lot of songs. Some of the songs you’ll sing we be wonderful songs to God. Your grandpa has been singing one most of the day. “I will sing of Your love … O Lord.” May love songs and Lord songs fill heart.

Hi M,

How was your day? Get to enjoy some of that sunshine? Smile, laugh, grin about stuff? Working on new sounds? Rolling around? Bet you had fun. Your grandpa had a few adventures today. He’s wheel-less. You know how you travel sometimes in a car seat? Well … they took my car seat in to repair it. (Make it better.) And my meeting … yep where the car seat was needed for a trip … was postponed … several days from now. Have a pretty cool project in the planning stage. This guy is going to help me.

You know my favorite picture of you to date? (The picture of your right hand and arm.) M, today your grandpa read something that reminded me of that picture of you. God’s “right hand and holy arm” are described. Singing God a song, for He has done marvelous (there’s a great word) things. It is good to think of God’s goodness when we see that picture of you.

Hi M,

Dad and daughter time is great! Grandpa got to see you. Your great grandmother got to hold you. It is amazing the happy noises you make now. You saw Hemi chase a frisbee. (Your dad throws it quite a distance. ) You seem to like the old house. Just finished the 12 Stones today and worked a little more on the paths. Wait until your dad takes you for a walk on them. Wait until you see where “Flash” sleeps. Wait until you see the picture of you asleep in “bean bag” type chair. (Yep … there’s some M&M’s in your car seat.) It was a good day.

“With my mouth (pen) I will make known Your faithfulness know through all generations.” Is that a great verse? Your grandpa would like you and your generation (people your age) to know about God and the joy of walking with Him.

Love you little one, (good growing)
